It has been praised for its action, direction and cinematography (exemplified by Shah Rukh Khans performance), although its pace and music were criticised. Don 2 was shown at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival. The film received a number of awards, including two Filmfare Awards: Best Sound Design and Best Action.
